Dr Michael Cash
Drawing on his experience of working in health and safety across different sectors and sharing some real-life examples, Michael will look at why disasters happen and what we can learn from them. He will talk about basic risk reduction strategies and how to apply these within a typical SME business.
After completing a PhD in Engineering, Michael initially worked as a Materials Engineer before moving into Safety Management. In this capacity he has worked extensively in the oil and gas sector and also has wide ranging industrial experience in construction, manufacturing and education in all sizes of businesses. Michael is a Chartered Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety (CFIOSH) and Health and is the Operations Director at SSG Training and Consultancy.

From the trials and tribulations of owning a nightclub for 16 years before founding The Gro Company – developing the world famous Gro-bag for babies and toddlers as well as other innovative children’s products.
The company sold over 4 million Gro-Bags in only 13 years and raised over a million pounds for safe sleep research through The ‘Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths’. In March 2013, Rob sold the company and is now writing children’s books. Come along and hear some very entertaining business anecdotes.

She gained her experience in presenting through her managerial position, where she presented to large audiences.
She also has over 15 years in sales, mainly retail, travel and property, managing teams in large organisations. Sally discovered Linkedin and was so taken by the impact it has on her business, Koru Connections, she decided to become a trainer and help other businesses grow.
