David Ralph, who three months ago took over the role of CEO of the Heart of SW LEP was the guest speaker at the September TBF Breakfast Meeting. He gave an overview of the organisation’s key aims and stressed the importance of having a united voice when approaching Government for funding and investments in a very tight and competitive market.
“The key issue for government will always be ‘Return on Investment’ said David, “ and the main ambition of the LEP is to double the size of the economy over the next 20 years across the SW and raise productivity to drive prosperity for all.”
New TBF Chair, Steve Reynolds said “My experience is that businesses within Torbay have the will and ambition to grow. We take heed of your point to collectively choose the right opportunities to help create the environment to enable that to happen”.
Of David presentation, Steve said “David engaged brilliantly with our audience. Feedback has been good, there was a definite “buzz” in the room and we look forward to welcoming David back soon.”
